Descritpion

The Church of the Last Update - is a third party organization whose main goal is to preserve techonology from pre 2010s era (DVD disks, MP3 players, CRT monitors, etc.) and the way people used to live in that era. They shun all new technology especially AI and superconductor technologies, prefering to move by old wheeled transport expecially old scooters rather than maglev highways. Member of this organization usually wear medival-resembling armor, made from everything they could found in trash, to alianet themselves from modern day techwear.

History

• In 2039 the Association of Artificial Intelligence Regulation (AAIR) got founded by Adam Faryna as a response to rapid development of AI technology to show his and his collegues concerns about proper regulation of said technology. In years to come, as technology progressed, a lot of people either joined the AAIR or had good opinion about it as a concern grew among public.
• In 2045 the government has started negotiations with AAIR to provide proper regulation on AI after many politicians were targets of discretization campaigns, where AI was used.
• In 2046 the regulations were introduced, many of which were only part of original demands of AAIR as many of them were deemed unrealistic. Many at AAIR were unpleased with governments half-solutions, and demanded further work but that never happened. At time, those regulations were a revolution in law-making and even got Adam Faryna to make a speech in UN assembly. However, Adam's assistance Timothy Step, who rumored to had rivalry relationship with Adam has stated that introduced regulation were not enough and had a huge support within organisation. The overcautious moods about AI were only popular within AAIR, and many experts said that AI is under control.
• In 2047 Adam Faryna resigned as a head of organisation, making Timothy new boss.
• Ever since Adam's resignation, the organisation has been becoming more marginalised as years went by. Countless of names and leaders of oragnization went after AAIR and Adam but were all forgotten.
• In 2135, what used to be a constructive organisation with legitimate conserns, has turned into a bunch of lunatics who wear medival armor and collect obsolete technology. With Lord Daggerfall (real name is John Smith) as their head, the organisation has become more serious, with their own propagandist centers and rectruiting system, which is absolutely ineffective and in-fact the radicalized rethorics is harmful to organisation as it draws more attention from authorities and scares away potential members.

Key points to story

As Lord Daggerfall has gained the ■■■■■■■■■■■■■ Quinn has to fight him personally to get it back. After the menacing monologue, the brawl turned out to be a fake out and duel actually took place in 2005 multiplier game called "Lesser Fears". After defeat, in rage Lord Daggerfall tries attacking Quinn from the back but gets a strong hit in the face which broke his DVD disk glasses and left him humiliated.
